Abu Dhabi Partners with HYCAP to Develop Green Hydrogen Industrial Complex
Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and HYCAP Group have signed an MoU to develop a green hydrogen industrial complex. This initiative aims to support UAE's National Hydrogen Strategy and boost local industrial capabilities in renewable energy.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and HYCAP Group have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to establish an industrial complex focused on green hydrogen production, storage, and transport. This complex will align with the UAE's National Hydrogen Strategy, targeting a production output of 1.4 million tons of green hydrogen annually by 2031.
Plans include the development of facilities for electrolysis, hydrogen storage, and transportation. The partnership aims to enhance Abu Dhabi's industrial sector and position it as a competitive hub for clean energy industries, potentially attracting global industrial players. This initiative also supports the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy, which emphasizes sustainability and value chain development.
