ACCIONA and Bolero Surf have launched surfboard fins made from recycled wind turbine blades, debuting them at the Aussie Boardriders Battle on the Gold Coast. This product is the first from ACCIONA's Turbine Made initiative, which aims to repurpose retired wind turbine materials.

The fins are designed by Bolero Surf under entrepreneur Banjo Hunt and leverage fiberglass from turbine blades, ensuring high performance and sustainability. The fins have been engineered to meet modern surfing demands and were tested in competition, demonstrating the practical application of circular economy principles in renewable energy. The fins are now available for purchase.
