Acwa Power and BCDA Launch 500-MW Solar Storage Project in New Clark City
Acwa Power Philippines has signed a lease for a 500-hectare site in New Clark City to develop a 500-MW solar and battery storage facility. This project supports the Philippine government's renewable energy goals and aims to attract high-tech industries, enhancing economic growth and energy security.

Acwa Power Philippines will develop a 500-MW solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage system in New Clark City, marking a significant investment in the Philippines' clean energy sector. The project involves an initial investment of at least USD 400,000 per megawatt and aligns with the government's target to increase renewable energy's share to 35% by 2030.
Acwa's partnership with Emerging Power, Inc. aims to develop up to 5,000 MW of renewable energy capacity nationwide. This collaboration is timely as the Philippine power sector faces increasing demand for clean energy solutions and infrastructure to support economic growth. The integrated facility will supply power to data centers and advanced manufacturing industries, reinforcing investor confidence in the region.
