Acwa Power's 2-GW Renewable Projects in Türkiye Progressing with June Milestones
Acwa Power is advancing its 2-GW renewable energy projects in Türkiye, with key milestones set for June. This effort aligns with the company's broader investment goal of 5 GW in the country, targeting significant contributions to Türkiye's renewable energy capacity by 2035.

Acwa Power is developing 2 GW of solar energy projects in Sivas and the Taseli region in Türkiye, with preliminary evaluations expected to conclude in May and the overall process by June. Environmental and social impact studies are underway, and site selection for a 3-GW Phase 2 investment is ongoing with the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry.
Plans include integrating energy storage to enhance grid reliability and flexibility. Acwa Power aims to align with Türkiye's 2035 renewable energy targets and could explore additional projects, including green hydrogen.
