ADC to Construct Albania's First Data Center in Tirana for €100 Million

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Israeli company ADC will build Albania's first data center in a free trade zone near Tirana, costing an estimated €100 million. The facility will use Nvidia's Robin graphics processors, providing 32 megawatts of power with potential expansion to 100 megawatts.

As a government project in a NATO member state and EU candidate, it benefits from favorable terms for Israeli firms. The building permit was granted in 60 days, and the site spans 4.5 acres, with an option for an additional 3.25 acres.

Infrastructure for electricity and communications is already in place, with the Albanian National Electricity Company supplying green electricity from hydro sources. ADC has secured 75% project financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The data center has already attracted three clients, including Infosoft and a German storage company, targeting European and American customers seeking AI processing capabilities.
