AEGIS Critical Energy Defence Corp., Malahat Energy Systems Inc., and Ontario Tech University have executed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on hybrid nuclear energy systems. The partnership aims to integrate Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and Micro Modular Reactors (MMRs) with AEGIS's battery energy storage systems.

This collaboration seeks to address integration challenges and expand SMR applications in sectors requiring reliable, low-carbon power.
