AEP Reports Q4 2025 Operating Income Driven by Data Center Demand

AEP's Q4 2025 results showed an operating income of $1.19 per share, compared to $1.24 in 2024 and exceeding the FactSet consensus of $1.15. Revenue rose to $5.31 billion from $4.70 billion the previous year, surpassing analyst expectations of $4.89 billion.
The company affirms its 2026 operating income forecast of $6.15 to $6.45 per share. AEP's growth is primarily driven by the increasing demand for electricity from data centers and AI, signing 28 GW of load since October, totaling 56 GW by 2030. AEP plans to increase its five-year investment plan by $5-8 billion for transmission and generation projects, addressing new infrastructure needs.
