AFRY and Holinger Contracted for Water Treatment Upgrade in Berlin
AFRY and Holinger will enhance the Münchehofe wastewater treatment plant in Berlin with a new ozone treatment stage. This project aims to improve micropollutant removal, supporting the city's environmental goals.

AFRY and Holinger have been awarded a contract by Berliner Wasserbetriebe to implement a new ozone treatment stage at the Münchehofe wastewater treatment plant, which serves around 300,000 residents. The project is set to run from February 2026 to November 2032, with an estimated order value of 20 million SEK for AFRY.
This facility is crucial for wastewater treatment in Berlin's eastern suburbs, and the upgrade will enhance its ability to eliminate micropollutants, contributing to improved water quality and environmental sustainability. The project's success could set a precedent for similar initiatives in other metropolitan areas.
