Aggreko Constructs Hybrid Power Station for Arrow Energy's Surat Gas Project in Queensland, Australia
Aggreko is constructing a hybrid power station near Miles, Queensland, to support Arrow Energy's Surat Gas Project North. The facility will integrate solar, gas, and battery storage to supply electricity to Arrow's field compression station. Construction will create up to 90 jobs, with operation expected to begin in mid-2027. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and supports Queensland's decarbonisation goals.

Aggreko is developing a hybrid power station near Miles, Queensland, for Arrow Energy's Surat Gas Project North. The facility will combine solar power, natural gas, and battery storage to supply electricity to Arrow's field compression station.
Construction will create up to 90 jobs, with the thermal power station and battery system slated for operation by mid-2027 and the solar farm by the end of 2027. The project aims to generate about 186 GWh annually, with 20% from solar, while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Aggreko has a 20-year agreement with Arrow Energy to develop and operate the facility.
