Agnikul Cosmos Conducts India's First Clustered Semi-Cryogenic Engine Test
Chennai-based Agnikul Cosmos has successfully test-fired three semi-cryogenic rocket engines simultaneously, marking India's first clustered semi-cryogenic engine test by a private firm. This achievement, supported by ISRO and IN-SPACe, showcases India's growing capabilities in rocket technology and advanced manufacturing. The engines, entirely 3D-printed, were ignited together as an integrated propulsion system, crucial for enhancing thrust in future launch vehicles.

Agnikul Cosmos, a Chennai-based space start-up, has successfully conducted India's first clustered semi-cryogenic engine test, firing three engines simultaneously. This milestone, supported by ISRO and IN-SPACe, marks a significant advancement in India's private space industry.
The engines were designed and 3D-printed as single pieces, eliminating complex assembly. This clustered configuration is essential for increasing thrust in future launch vehicles. Engineers will analyze detailed performance data to enhance reliability, indicating a shift from experimentation to advanced propulsion capabilities in India's private sector.
