Agro Care Expands Greenhouse Operations with International Financing Strategies

Agro Care is pursuing an expansion plan to reach 1,000 hectares of greenhouse operations by 2030, with significant investments in Tunisia, including a 120-hectare addition and a desalination facility. CFO Eric Schouten noted that securing financing for projects outside Europe is challenging as Dutch banks typically avoid stand-alone financing in developing countries.

The initial phase of financing was facilitated by Invest International, while subsequent funding efforts are directed towards the World Bank. The company has also refinanced its West European operations, indicating readiness for further investments.
