Aikido Technologies to Host Data Centers in Underwater Tanks of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTUREWIND ENERGY

Aikido Technologies intends to house data centers within the ballast tanks of its floating offshore wind turbines, each capable of holding 3-4 MW of computing power. The North Sea is the proposed site, as it aligns with European goals for energy independence.

The turbines will utilize a closed-loop cooling system to manage temperature, while onboard batteries and grid connections will ensure reliable power. Aikido's platform features a semisubmersible design, providing stability in deep waters. The initiative aims to address the growing demand for AI computing while mitigating the environmental impact of traditional data centers.
