The Photovoltaik Barometer 2026 report indicates that their market presence grew significantly from 2023 to 2025, with a focus on high-efficiency rooftop PV systems. The report also noted a decrease in the nominal power ratio of PV systems and highlighted the rising integration of battery storage, which increased from 45,000 to 65,000 systems in Switzerland from 2023 to 2024.

In 2025, Aiko Solar and Longi accounted for over 50% of the Swiss back-contact solar module market, according to the Photovoltaik Barometer 2026 report. Their market share grew from 2023, with notable competitors including JinkoSolar and Trina Solar.
The report highlighted that module efficiency is becoming more critical as project costs shift. The nominal power ratio of PV systems decreased from 95% in 2017 to around 90% in 2023, improving grid compatibility. The number of installed battery storage systems rose from 45,000 in 2023 to 65,000 in 2024, with over 70% of PV systems offered with storage options by 2025.
