Alagöz Mining Company Fined 2.5 Million TL for Environmental Violations
Alagöz Mining, linked to AK Party Deputy Cantürk Alagöz, has been fined 2,517,000 TL for discharging wastewater into a stream. The Ministry of Environment has suspended production activities until environmental compliance is ensured.

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change issued a fine of 2,517,000 TL against Alagöz Mining Company for polluting Çatalağanç Stream with wastewater from its copper, lead, and zinc enrichment facility. This fine was tripled due to previous violations by the company, which had already faced penalties for similar offenses.
Production activities have been halted until the company implements necessary environmental measures, including controlling groundwater and constructing a sedimentation treatment pond. Continued violations could lead to further regulatory actions and scrutiny, potentially impacting the company's operations.
