Allen County Port Authority Advances Roundabout Construction for New Data Center Project
The Allen County Port Authority is advancing plans for roundabouts at the intersections of Cole Street with Bluelick Road, state Route 115, and Beery Road to accommodate traffic from a new data center under construction in Lima, Ohio. Residents raised concerns about traffic studies and public involvement at a recent meeting.
The data center's developer has pledged up to $50 million for the roundabouts and related improvements, with the project managed by Eagle Bridge, selected for its high score in the proposal evaluation. Additionally, the Port Authority is considering redeveloping Memorial Hall into a boutique hotel, estimating costs at $25 million, with $3 million approved for initial design work.
