Aluminium Bahrain Advances Feasibility Studies for New Replacement Line Project

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) is progressing with a Class 3 feasibility study and a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for the New Replacement Line (NRL) project, which will replace existing Lines 1 to 3, pending government approvals. The company reported a net profit of BHD 218.7 million ($581.6 million) for 2025, an increase of 18.5% YoY.

Alba's total comprehensive income rose 16.2% YoY to BHD 213.2 million. The firm aims to enhance production with the Lines 4-5 Creep Up Project, adding 8,000 metric tonnes per year. Additionally, Alba is advancing a joint venture for aluminium dross processing, targeting 15kMT-30kMT of secondary aluminium per year from 2025 to 2027.
