AM Green Signs Long-Term Renewable Ammonia Offtake Agreement with Uniper
AM Green Ammonia India Private Limited has signed a long-term agreement with Uniper Global Commodities SE to supply 500,000 tonnes of renewable ammonia annually starting in 2028, enhancing India's role in the green hydrogen market. The ammonia will be sourced from a 1 MTPA facility in Kakinada, with plans for a total capacity of 5 MMTPA by 2030, and aims to strengthen clean energy ties between India and Germany. The partnership is supported by investors including Gentari, GIC, and ADIA.

AM Green Ammonia India Private Limited signed a long-term offtake agreement with Uniper Global Commodities SE to supply 500,000 tonnes of renewable ammonia annually starting in 2028. The agreement, formalized in Ahmedabad, aims to enhance India's position in the green hydrogen market and enable European access to RFNBO-certified ammonia.
The first shipment will come from a 1 MTPA facility under construction in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, part of a larger project targeting 5 MMTPA capacity by 2030. This partnership will facilitate India’s energy transition and strengthen clean energy ties between India and Germany, with a focus on compliance and traceability. The collaboration is backed by investors including Gentari, GIC, and ADIA.
