AM Green to Invest $25 Billion in 1 GW AI Data Center in Uttar Pradesh
AM Green has signed a memorandum of understanding with InvestUP to invest $25 billion in a 1 GW AI data center in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The project, which will be developed in phases with the first capacity expected by 2028 and full completion by 2030, aims to support global hyperscalers and India's AI initiatives using renewable energy. This initiative underscores Uttar Pradesh's strategic move to enhance its status as a data center hub in alignment with the Indian government's digital infrastructure goals.

The project will be developed in phases, with the first capacity expected by 2028 and full completion by 2030, involving an investment of approximately $25 billion.
The data center will cater to global hyperscalers and India's AI initiatives, utilizing renewable energy sources like wind and solar. The facility is projected to incorporate around 500,000 high-performance chipsets and is part of a broader trend of significant investments in India's data center sector. The MoU was signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, indicating a strategic move to bolster UP's position as a data center hub and support the Indian government's vision for AI and digital infrastructure.
