Amazon Acquires 45 Acres in Titusville, Florida for Expansion Plans
Amazon has acquired 45 acres in Titusville, Florida, for $6.1 million to support its expansion in Central Florida, following a previous purchase of 90 acres in West Melbourne. The new site, located near key transportation links, will enhance Amazon's last-mile delivery and data center operations as part of a broader plan to increase capital expenditures to $125 billion by 2025. Additionally, new delivery centers are set to open in Melbourne and Cocoa in 2024, complementing the recent launch of a robotics fulfillment center in Daytona Beach.

Amazon has acquired 45 acres in Titusville, Florida, for $6.1 million, expanding its holdings in Central Florida. This property is located near the Space Coast Regional Airport and connects to U.S. 1 and the Florida East Coast Railway's Titusville intermodal ramp.
The acquisition follows Amazon's purchase of a 90-acre parcel in West Melbourne, 31 miles away. The company plans to enhance its operations, including last-mile delivery, robotics, and data centers. Amazon expects its capital expenditures to reach $125 billion for 2025, up from a previous estimate of $100 million, to improve delivery services and data center capabilities for AI applications.
Additionally, new delivery and fulfillment centers are set to open in Melbourne and Cocoa in 2024, and a $200 million robotics fulfillment center was opened in Daytona Beach in September. Amazon also plans to open a new office in Miami, leasing 75,000 square feet at Wynwood Plaza.
