Amazon Announces €33.7 Billion Investment in Spain for Cloud and AI Infrastructure Expansion
Amazon revealed a €33.7 billion investment plan at MWC26 aimed at expanding its data center infrastructure in Spain. This investment adds to the previously announced €15.7 billion for 2024 and focuses on enhancing AI and cloud computing capabilities across Europe. The project will contribute €31.7 billion to Spain's GDP by 2035 and create approximately 29,900 jobs annually, including 1,800 direct jobs in Aragón. Additionally, €30 million will be allocated for community programs in education and sustainability.
