Amazon Plans Project Cascade Facility in Arlington and Marysville
Project Cascade, an Amazon operations facility in Arlington and Marysville, spans approximately 1.2 million square feet. The project aims to enhance delivery services in the Central and North Puget Sound region amid community concerns regarding energy and water consumption.

Amazon is proposing Project Cascade, an operations facility covering about 1.2 million square feet, within the Cascade Industrial Center in Arlington and Marysville. The city is developing an interlocal agreement with Marysville as part of the planning process.
Community concerns were raised during a recent City Council meeting, primarily about potential energy use, with developers requesting a peak power load of 9.5 megawatts. The estimated water consumption for the facility is projected to be 44,000 gallons per day.
City officials have confirmed that this development is not a data center, which is not permissible under current zoning. No permit applications for Project Cascade have been submitted yet, and the project is still in the early planning stages. The outcome of this development may significantly impact local energy costs and infrastructure.
