Amazon is set to develop a data center on 553 acres in Wallula Gap Business Park, near Tri-Cities, after being identified as the buyer for a $36 million purchase. The port commission will amend the agreement on February 12.
The project will consist of 16 data centers and Amazon will have access to utilities and easements across the property. Previously, Amazon built warehouses and a delivery station in Pasco. Wallula Gap Business Park supports industrial development and is part of broader investment initiatives in the area.
