Amazon.com Inc. announced a $12 billion investment to develop new data center campuses in northwest Louisiana, specifically in Caddo and Bossier Parishes. This initiative aims to create 540 full-time jobs and support an additional 1,710 positions, including electricians, HVAC technicians, and project engineers.
The company will also invest up to $400 million in local water infrastructure and commit a $250,000 community fund for STEM education. The data centers will focus on supporting artificial intelligence and cloud computing while ensuring responsible water usage and carbon-free energy initiatives.
