Amazon to Invest €33.7 Billion in Spain for Data Center Infrastructure Expansion
Amazon announced a €33.7 billion investment in Spain to expand data center infrastructure, enhancing AI and cloud computing capabilities. This investment adds €18 billion to the previously announced €15.7 billion for 2024. It is projected to contribute €31.7 billion to Spain's GDP by 2035 and support approximately 29,900 jobs annually, including 6,700 direct jobs. Additional facilities in Aragon will create 1,800 jobs. Amazon will also invest €30 million in community programs by 2035, focusing on education and sustainability.
