Amazon Web Services announced plans for a 2.5 million-square-foot data center in Kline Township, PA, expected to create hundreds of jobs. The center will be located off Lofty Road, bounded by Interstate 81 and State Route 309.

Amazon purchased the 346-acre site for approximately $178 million, previously intended for a warehouse. The project will feature nine buildings, with 25 to 30 AWS employees in each. AWS will also offer training for local residents. The township's Planning Commission will review the application after submission.
