AMD and Nutanix Form Strategic Partnership for Open AI Infrastructure Platform
AMD and Nutanix have announced a long-term partnership to co-develop an open, full-stack AI infrastructure platform. AMD will invest up to $250 million, including $150 million in Nutanix shares and additional funding for engineering and collaboration. The platform aims to support agentic AI applications across various environments, optimizing Nutanix's Cloud and Kubernetes platforms with AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD Instinct GPUs. The first agentic AI platform is expected to market by late 2026, focusing on performance and operational simplicity.

This platform is designed to enhance agentic AI applications in data centers, hybrid environments, and the cloud. The collaboration optimizes Nutanix's offerings with AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD Instinct GPUs, targeting a launch of the first platform by late 2026. The agreement emphasizes an open ecosystem and operational efficiency.
