AMD Launches Instinct MI350P PCIe AI Accelerator Targeting Enterprise Deployments
AMD has introduced the Instinct MI350P PCIe accelerator, designed for on-premises AI workloads, featuring 144 GB HBM3E and 4.6 PFLOPS performance. This launch fills a gap in the market for cost-effective, scalable AI solutions without requiring extensive infrastructure upgrades.
The AMD Instinct MI350P PCIe accelerator targets enterprises needing AI capabilities without significant infrastructure investments. This dual-slot card, featuring the CDNA 4 architecture, offers 128 compute units and 144 GB of HBM3E memory, delivering up to 4 TB/s bandwidth and 4.6 PFLOPS peak performance.
Unlike its predecessor, MI350X, the MI350P is designed for standard air-cooled servers, facilitating easier integration into existing data centers. Importantly, it operates within a power range of 450W to 600W, catering to various server capabilities. AMD's entry into this PCIe market segment, previously dominated by NVIDIA, may enhance competition but also highlights the ongoing need for efficient AI solutions in diverse operational environments.
