AMD Launches MI350P PCIe GPU for AI Applications in Datacenters
AMD introduces the MI350P, a dual-slot PCIe accelerator designed for enterprise AI applications, promoting accessibility and ease of integration into existing server infrastructures. This initiative aims to capture the growing demand for on-prem AI solutions without requiring extensive hardware investments.

AMD has unveiled the MI350P, its first PCIe-based Instinct accelerator since 2022, aimed at enterprise AI customers. This dual-slot GPU can be installed in standard air-cooled server designs, allowing organizations to adopt AI technologies incrementally.
The MI350P offers 4.6 petaFLOPS of FP4 compute and 144 GB of VRAM with a memory bandwidth of 4 TB/s. Unlike previous models, which were bundled in packs of eight, this card allows for configurations from one to eight units, although it is limited to PCIe 5.0 speeds for interconnects.
Comparatively, while it claims higher peak performance than Nvidia's H200, the MI350P may face challenges in pricing competitiveness. AMD's upcoming Helios platform, featuring MI455X GPUs, targets larger hyperscale deployments, indicating a strategic shift to capture more lucrative market segments.
