AMD Reports 34% Revenue Growth Driven by AI, Forecasts $9.8 Billion for Q1 2026

AMD reported a net income of $1.51 billion and revenues of $10.3 billion for the quarter ending December 27, 2025, reflecting year-over-year gains of 213% and 34%, respectively. For the upcoming first quarter, the company expects revenues of $9.8 billion, plus or minus $300 million, exceeding the consensus estimate of $9.38 billion.

The data center segment led revenue growth with $5.4 billion in sales, up 39% year-over-year, attributed to demand for central processors and AI GPUs. The client and gaming segment rose 37% to $3.9 billion, driven by Ryzen processor demand.

The embedded segment grew 3% to $950 million. AMD's fiscal year 2025 results showed net income of $4.4 billion on revenues of $34.6 billion, both up 164% and 34% year-over-year. Despite strong results, concerns remain regarding competition with Nvidia and uncertainties in revenue collection from major clients like OpenAI.
