Ameren Missouri Initiates Power Upgrade for Eldon Customers
Ameren Missouri is upgrading substation capacity to enhance reliability for over 2,000 customers in Eldon, coinciding with Quaker Window Products' expansion. The project is part of Ameren's Smart Energy Plan, which has upgraded over 140 substations statewide.

Ameren Missouri is installing a new substation in Miller County to increase capacity by 50% for 2,400 customers in Eldon. This upgrade supports the recent expansion of Quaker Window Products and is part of Ameren's broader Smart Energy Plan, which has already upgraded over 140 substations and partnered with 1,200 local suppliers.
The new switchgear will feature technology to swiftly detect outages and reroute power. A portable substation will maintain service during construction, expected to conclude by year-end. This initiative aims to improve reliability and responsiveness in power restoration for the local community.
