American Battery Factory Secures Offtake Agreements for Tucson, AZ Gigafactory
American Battery Factory Inc. has announced offtake agreements for over 4.5 GWh of its planned 5.5 GWh output at its Tucson, AZ gigafactory. This milestone will facilitate financing for construction and automation equipment, with production expected to commence in late 2027 and reach full capacity in 2028. The factory will focus on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, aiming to support the U.S. clean energy economy and enhance domestic manufacturing.

American Battery Factory Inc. (ABF) has secured offtake agreements for more than 4.5 GWh of its initial output from its Tucson, AZ gigafactory, which is projected to produce approximately 5.5 GWh. This achievement will allow ABF to finalize financing within 3-4 months for construction and automation equipment.
Production is expected to start in late 2027, reaching full capacity in 2028. ABF's plant will manufacture lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, contributing to domestic energy supply and security. The factory will also include R&D facilities and aims to create local jobs.
