American Tower Proposes 4MW Edge Data Center Near Tampa, Florida
American Tower has submitted a proposal to develop a 4MW Edge data center in Pinellas Park, Florida, aiming to enhance local connectivity. This move aligns with the growing demand for digital services and reflects the company's broader strategy of establishing multi-megawatt data centers across the U.S.

American Tower has proposed a 4MW Edge data center on a 2.3-acre site in Pinellas Park, Florida, following an acquisition in 2020 for $1.975 million. The facility will be located at 10700 76th Court North, replacing a vacant office building and a cell tower.
The site has access to five fiber providers and is part of American Tower's strategy, which includes plans for multiple data centers nationwide. The company has identified over 1,000 potential sites for development and recently launched a 1MW facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Possible impacts include improved local digital services and connectivity; however, the city is still evaluating the proposal with no public meetings scheduled yet.
