American West Initiates 5000m Drilling Program for Indium and Gallium at Utah's West Desert Project
American West has launched a 5000m diamond drilling program at its West Desert project in Utah, targeting indium and gallium. The program, conducted by Major Drilling Group International, aims to expand beyond the existing resource estimates, which include significant amounts of zinc, copper, and silver. The project has identified multiple high-priority targets, including the Goldilocks Zone, with historical drill core samples showing high grades of indium and gallium. The US currently lacks domestic production of these strategic metals.

American West has commenced a 5000m diamond drilling program at its West Desert project in Utah, focusing on high-priority indium and gallium targets. The program, operated by Major Drilling Group International, aims to discover new resources beyond the current estimates of 33.7 million tonnes of zinc, copper, and silver.
Recent updates indicated substantial amounts of indium and gold at the site. The drilling efforts will also explore gallium targets along the Juab Fault and test geophysical anomalies similar to existing resources. The US has no domestic production of gallium or indium, emphasizing the need for local supply.
