Amerigo Resources has commenced processing historic tailings from El Teniente's Cauquenes area at a rate of 30,000 t/d. This expansion is set to increase capacity to 60,000 t/d with a $71 million investment by Q4 2026.

Amerigo Resources has initiated the processing of historic tailings from the Cauquenes storage area of El Teniente, achieving a rate of 30,000 t/d. The company plans to double this capacity to 60,000 t/d following a $71 million expansion of its processing facility, expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.
This development follows an agreement with Codelco made in April 2014 and marks a significant addition to existing operations, which include processing fresh and historic tailings from the Colihues deposit. The project enhances Amerigo's production capabilities in Chile, positioning them strategically in the copper mining sector.
