Amphenol Completes $10.5 Billion Acquisition of CommScope CCS to Enhance Data Center Infrastructure
Amphenol completed its acquisition of CommScope's Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) on January 12, 2026, valued at $10.5 billion. This acquisition is expected to contribute approximately $4.1 billion in revenue in 2026 and add about $0.15 per diluted share to earnings, excluding one-time acquisition costs.
The deal notably strengthens Amphenol's fiber interconnect solutions vital for data center and AI applications. Concurrently, Amphenol integrated Trexon for around $1 billion to enhance its robust cable assembly segment and expanded its management team.
To finance these acquisitions, the company issued a multi-tranche bond totaling $7.4 billion. Analysts have reacted positively, with several firms raising their ratings and price targets, citing increased expectations for IT datacomm revenues and Amphenol's strategic positioning in AI rack connectivity.
Amphenol reported strong Q3 2025 results, exceeding expectations with adjusted EPS of $0.93 and revenue of $6.2 billion. The stock is currently near its 52-week high and has shown significant gains over the past year.
