ANDRITZ is investing a higher double-digit million euro amount by 2028 to expand and modernize its turbo generator production facilities in Linz and Weiz, Austria. The expansion will create approximately 350 skilled jobs and increase manufacturing capacity for air-cooled and hydrogen-cooled turbo generators.
The Linz site will focus on assembly and testing, while Weiz will handle component and generator production, with new production halls expected to be completed by 2027. The investment aims to support decentralized power generation and grid stability amid rising global energy demand, particularly in the U.S. and the Middle East. The expansion includes a 3,700 square meter increase in production space in Linz and positions ANDRITZ to respond to future energy infrastructure needs, contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
