ANDRITZ secured a contract from Tata Power for the 1,000 MW Bhivpuri pumped storage project in Maharashtra, valued in the low three-digit million-euro range. This order will be reflected in ANDRITZ's order intake for Q1 2026.
The company will supply three reversible pump turbines, motor-generators, and related electromechanical equipment, including design and installation services. The Bhivpuri facility is expected to enhance grid stability and support the growing renewable energy capacity in Maharashtra by providing essential energy storage capabilities. This project marks the first major collaboration between Tata Power and ANDRITZ in pumped storage.
