ANDRITZ to Supply Equipment for Tata Power's 1,000 MW Bhivpuri Pumped Storage Project in Maharashtra
ANDRITZ has received an order from Tata Power to supply equipment for the 1,000 MW Bhivpuri pumped storage project in Maharashtra. The contract, valued in the low three-digit million-euro range, will be recorded in ANDRITZ's order intake for Q1 2026. The scope includes delivery of reversible pump turbines, motor-generators, and associated equipment, along with design, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning. The project aims to enhance grid reliability and support renewable energy integration in India.

ANDRITZ secured a contract from Tata Power for the 1,000 MW Bhivpuri pumped storage project in Maharashtra, valued in the low three-digit million-euro range. This order will be reflected in ANDRITZ's order intake for Q1 2026.
The company will supply three reversible pump turbines, motor-generators, and related electromechanical equipment, including design and installation services. The Bhivpuri facility is expected to enhance grid stability and support the growing renewable energy capacity in Maharashtra by providing essential energy storage capabilities. This project marks the first major collaboration between Tata Power and ANDRITZ in pumped storage.
