ANDRITZ to Supply Turbines for Vlasinske Hydropower Modernisation in Serbia
ANDRITZ has been awarded a contract to supply ten turbines for the Vlasinske hydropower plants in Serbia, valued in the lower double-digit million-euro range. This upgrade will enhance the plants' capacity by 8MW, increasing total installed capacity to about 138MW. The project, which includes four Pelton and six Francis units, will allow continuous electricity production during modernization. It is supported by financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

ANDRITZ has secured a contract from Energotehnika Južna Bačka to supply ten turbines for the modernization of the Vlasinske hydropower plants in Serbia. The order, valued in the lower double-digit million-euro range, is part of ANDRITZ's first-quarter 2026 intake.
The upgrade will increase the installed capacity by 8MW, raising it from approximately 130MW to 138MW. The Vlasinske cascade, which includes four hydropower plants operational since 1955, will see the installation of four Pelton and six Francis turbines.
The modernization will be conducted while maintaining electricity production. The project is financed in part by a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
