Anglo Asian Mining Engages Worley Europe for Copper Feasibility Studies in Azerbaijan
Anglo Asian Mining has contracted Worley Europe for feasibility studies on its Xarxar and Garadag copper projects in Azerbaijan, with completion dates set for mid-2027 and first half of 2028, respectively. This initiative aims to produce marketable copper metal on-site, marking a significant advancement for the company and the region's mining capabilities.

Anglo Asian Mining has appointed Worley Europe to conduct feasibility studies for its Xarxar and Garadag copper deposits. The studies will evaluate heap leach processing and solvent extraction-electrowinning technology, with the goal of producing copper metal directly at the site.
The completion of the Xarxar study is expected by mid-2027, while Garadag's study is anticipated in early 2028. Concurrently, the company will execute a 90,000-meter drilling program in 2026-2027, split between 55,000 meters for exploration and 35,000 meters for feasibility studies.
Current drilling has begun at Xarxar, with operations at Garadag slated for the third quarter of 2026. This project is critical as it transitions Anglo Asian toward becoming a mid-tier, multi-asset producer, bolstering its growth strategy amidst significant untapped mineral potential in its licence areas.
