Angola Advances Cybersecurity and Digital Infrastructure Initiatives in 2025
In 2025, Angola made significant strides in enhancing its cybersecurity and digital infrastructure, aiming to establish itself as a key African hub. The government focused on supporting small and medium enterprises through initiatives like the Startup Law and various technology conferences, while also investing in projects such as the 'Tudo Nosso Fibra' for fiber optic services and training 12,000 professionals in the space sector. The country's digital identity saw growth with over 20,000 '.AO' domain sales, generating 40 million kwanzas.

In 2025, Angola invested in infrastructure to enhance technological services and position itself as a new African cybersecurity hub. The Minister of Telecommunications, Mário de Oliveira, announced a focus on small and medium enterprises and startups as part of the National Space Program.
Key initiatives included the 9th National Conference on Science and Technology and the 4th Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Fair. The government approved a Startup Law to promote entrepreneurship and innovation as economic diversification drivers.
