Angola Enhances Mineral Traceability with Blockchain Technology
Angola's mineral traceability efforts are being strengthened through a blockchain-based platform developed by iTraceit and the CCIGPMA. This initiative aims to improve product competitiveness on the international market by ensuring compliance with international standards.

A new agreement between the Angola Chamber of Commerce for Gas, Oil, and Minerals (CCIGPMA) and the Belgian company iTraceit implements a blockchain platform for mineral traceability. Approximately 95% of Angola's diamond production already utilizes iTraceit's traceability technology, benefiting around eight major mining companies.
The project aims to expand this digital ecosystem to include other critical minerals like gold, lithium, copper, cobalt, and manganese. The CCIGPMA will help identify international investors and manage negotiations, while iTraceit will conduct compliance audits and implement real-time data validation. This initiative may attract more investment and enhance Angola's international market position.
