Anker SOLIX Introduces Whole-Home Battery Backup System in Australia
Anker SOLIX has launched the Power Dock Pro, enhancing its X1 home battery system to provide whole-home backup during outages. This solution addresses limitations in existing residential setups, allowing critical appliances to remain operational despite blackouts, thus catering to the growing demand for robust energy solutions in Australia.

Anker SOLIX has launched the Power Dock Pro in Australia, enabling its X1 home battery system to provide backup power to an entire household. The product connects grid, solar, battery storage, and household loads through a 63-ampere interface, ensuring that essential circuits remain functional during outages.
This addresses a key issue in residential battery setups where many homes lose access to significant electrical loads, such as air conditioning and electric vehicle chargers, during blackouts. The system allows for a second X1 inverter to be added, increasing output to 24kW without rewiring.
Additionally, the Smart Port feature enables solar panels from third-party inverters to continue charging the X1 battery even when the grid is down, which is particularly beneficial in areas prone to severe weather. The launch coincides with tightening state-based battery incentives, affecting consumer decisions on larger battery installations. The X1 system is compatible with various Australian virtual power plant schemes, and both the Power Dock Pro and X1 feature a C5-M marine-grade anti-corrosion rating.
