The project is expected to create approximately 390 construction jobs and 110 permanent positions once operational in early 2028. Anthro secured nearly $25 million in federal grants and over $2 million in state incentives linked to job creation.
The plant will utilize domestically sourced materials and support local workforce development through partnerships with educational institutions. The investment positions Kentucky as a leader in the battery industry amid a transition to clean energy, despite challenges faced by other projects in the region.
