Anthropic Expands Data Center Strategy in Europe and Australia Amid Investment Surge
Anthropic is pursuing data center leasing agreements in Europe and Australia, enhancing its infrastructure to support AI growth. This move coincides with significant investments and partnerships to secure computational resources amid rising demand for its AI models.

Anthropic is actively seeking data center leasing deals in Europe and Australia, aiming to bolster its infrastructure for AI operations. This initiative follows its announcement of a $50 billion investment in U.S. data centers with Fluidstack, supported by Google.
The company has contracted with Amazon for over $100 billion in chips and computing power to enhance its computational capacity, with up to 5 GW expected over the next decade. Recently, annualized revenue surged from $9 billion to over $30 billion, prompting increased pressure on infrastructure.
The new roles will lead the RFP process and ensure alignment across multiple countries, addressing distinct regulatory and development challenges. The demand for data centers may escalate with the rollout of Anthropic's new AI model, Mythos.
