Aon Expands Data Center Insurance Program with $1 Billion Increase
Aon is enhancing its global technology infrastructure by expanding its Data Center Lifecycle Insurance Program (DCLP) to $3.5 billion. This move addresses the growing demand for coverage in AI and cloud projects, vital for risk management in hyperscale environments.

Aon has announced a substantial increase in its Data Center Lifecycle Insurance Program (DCLP), adding $1 billion to raise the total capacity to $3.5 billion. This program now includes coverage for existing data centers after their first operational year to mitigate risks associated with rapid scaling.
The coverage allocates $400 million for cyber risks and technological failures, while an additional $200 million is designated for global liability. In Q1 2026, global economic damages from natural disasters reached $37 billion, with insured losses exceeding $20 billion, primarily from severe storms in the USA. Aon's upcoming financial report in May will provide insights into how its digital infrastructure strategy impacts operational results.
