Aperam is set to open a Titanium Solids Center of Excellence in Frankfort, New York, by January 1, 2027. This facility aims to enhance recycling capabilities for the aerospace and defense sectors, creating up to 50 new jobs.

Aperam Recycling will open a new facility, the Titanium Solids Center of Excellence, in Frankfort, New York, by January 1, 2027. This site will be integrated into ELG Utica Alloys, which will rebrand as Aperam Recycling Advanced Metals in late 2026.
The facility aims to support the aerospace industry with advanced recycling technologies and is situated near existing operations in Herkimer, New York. The investment will facilitate enhanced automation and infrastructure, promoting sustainable supply chains through lower CO₂ emissions. The project is expected to create approximately 50 jobs in the region.
