APM Terminals Acquires 49% Stake in Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal
APM Terminals has secured a 49% minority share in the Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal, becoming its operating partner. The terminal, which has been operational for three years, is the largest deep-water port in North Vietnam and can accommodate vessels up to 18,000 TEU. Located in Hai Phong City, it facilitates trade with Europe, the U.S., and northern Vietnam. APM Terminals will implement best practices in safety, port automation, and decarbonization, while HHIT has joined the Gemini Cooperation network.

APM Terminals has acquired a 49% minority stake in the Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HHIT) and will serve as the operating partner. HHIT, the largest deep-water port in North Vietnam, has been operational for three years and handles vessels up to 18,000 TEU.
Its location in Hai Phong City enhances trade connections with Europe, the U.S., and northern Vietnam. APM Terminals will share expertise in safety, port automation, AI, process optimization, and decarbonization. Additionally, HHIT is now part of the Gemini Cooperation network established by Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd.
