Aqua Metals and 6K Energy Sign Multi-Year Supply Agreement for Battery Materials
Aqua Metals, Inc. has signed a multi-year Material Supply Agreement with 6K Energy to provide battery-grade nickel metal and lithium carbonate through its AquaRefining technology. The three-year agreement outlines specifications and pricing based on London Metal Exchange rates, aiming to bolster U.S. battery supply chains and support domestic cathode manufacturing, with potential annual revenues in the tens of millions.

Aqua Metals, Inc. has executed a multi-year Material Supply Agreement with 6K Energy for the supply of battery-grade nickel metal and lithium carbonate using AquaRefining technology. The initial three-year agreement establishes specifications, qualification pathways, and pricing mechanisms based on London Metal Exchange rates.
It aims to support 6K Energy's production process as demand for battery materials is expected to rise. The agreement could generate tens of millions of dollars annually, contingent on market conditions and production scaling. Both companies plan to complete their respective facilities to support domestic cathode manufacturing and enhance U.S. battery supply chains, ensuring compliance with Foreign Entity of Concern requirements.
