AquaGreen Secures €4M Investment for Bio-Waste Conversion Technology Expansion
AquaGreen has obtained an investment of €4 million from Nordic Alpha Partners and FMG Circular Invest AB to enhance its bio-waste conversion technology. This funding aims to support the company's growth and international expansion of its HECLA technology, which efficiently transforms sewage sludge into biochar while reducing carbon emissions.

AquaGreen has secured an investment of 30M DKK (€4.026M) from Nordic Alpha Partners and FMG Circular Invest AB, targeting growth in its bio-waste conversion technology. The company's HECLA technology converts sewage sludge into biochar, recovering 80% of biomass energy and eliminating harmful pollutants.
With initial installations in Zealand and Funen, AquaGreen plans to roll out its technology across Europe, potentially requiring around 5,000 HECLA plants. The investment aligns with circular economy trends in wastewater treatment and aims to capitalize on increasing demand for sustainable solutions in agriculture and waste management.
