AraBat has developed a proprietary bio-based technology, AraMet, that transforms agricultural waste into critical raw materials such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel from exhausted lithium batteries. The process involves mechanical treatment of batteries to produce black mass, which is then treated with organic acids and plant by-products, enabling effective extraction with minimal environmental impact.
Collaborations with institutions like the University of Foggia enhance research and industrial application.
